Dr D P Singh

KNS Founder

Dr Dharampal Singh started his journey from the distant rural areas of village kolsiya in the state of Rajasthan. Beginning the journey from the dim light of the chimney, witnessing the scarcity and hardship closely, he went in search of the solution for them from the path to path. Father Shri Begaram, a freedom fighter and soldier of Azad Hind Fauj (INA) was his first teacher at home after his mother. His father’s army discipline and humanity, the real-life stories about patriotism and sacrifices sow a seed of deep sense for universal welfare within him. On top of it, the guidance from his mentor Prof. A.P. Sharma at Vidya Bhawan in Udaipur, Rajasthan began to accelerate the sense of his emotions.

At all times in his mind, he began to find a way and work differently from usual practices. This propelled him ahead to start Kamalnishtha Sansthan (KNS), which is a non-profit and community-need based organization which is of the people, by the people, and for the people. Sansthan has been working with several organizations/ government departments towards the upliftment and self-sufficiency of local marginalized and under-privileged people by overcoming their limitations.

CRS Radio Kamalvani, a wing of KNS which is working for social welfare through voice on the air. For his contribution towards society and the environment, he has been awarded several awards such as Dharti Putra and Van-Vistarak Puruskar. Besides being a social worker he has also devoted 20 years to the field of education as a Professor. So far he has guided 25 Ph. D. and 48 PG scholars. He has more than 50 research articles to his credit all published in journals of repute and has published 7 books. He is editor of CHETANA International Journal of Education and also developed various courses for Central and State Government such as OBE, Welding Technology, Hamara Rajasthan.
